Partner with Wildcard

Retailers, breakers, data providers and brands: what we build, and what we will not sell.

Wildcard rates sealed wax and prices singles against real comps, for collectors deciding whether to buy. If your company sits anywhere in that path — you sell the product, you break it, you price it, or you know when it drops — there is probably something here worth building.

What we're open to

  • Retail and marketplace feeds — We already run affiliate integrations with eBay, Amazon and Impact, and every listing we surface is judged on the same EV math before a link exists. If you have a product feed with prices and availability, adding it is mostly plumbing on our side.
  • Breakers, shops and streamers — Our stream comp overlay and break receipts are built for the people running breaks, not for us. Co-branding, a version pointed at your own inventory, or a feature you need that we do not have yet are all live conversations.
  • Pricing, population and sales data — Sold comps, population reports, print runs, grading data. We cite our sources on the page and will name yours the same way. See how we rate boxes for exactly where a number like this would land.
  • Release calendars and allocationsDrop Radar tracks release dates and restocks. Manufacturers and retailers who want their drop tracked accurately can send us the dates directly instead of having us scrape them.
  • Press, podcasts and research — Happy to explain the methodology on the record, including the parts of it that do not work yet. We will not comment on a specific card's investment prospects.

What we won't do

These are not negotiating positions. They are the reason the ratings are worth anything, and a partnership that needs one of them bent is one we will turn down late and expensively rather than early and politely:

  • No paid verdicts. EV, the rip/skip ladder and the deal tiers are computed from odds sheets and prices. Nothing in that path knows who pays us, and no amount of money moves a rating.
  • No unlabelled sponsorship. If a placement is paid, it says so where it appears, not only in the terms.
  • We do not sell or rent the email list. Ever, to anyone. The privacy policy is the binding version of that sentence.
  • No removing an accurate page. If we publish something about your product that is wrong, send documentation and we will correct it with the source recorded. If it is right, it stays up.

What to put in the first email

A partnership email that answers these gets a real reply instead of four questions:

  • Who you are, and what you want to happen.
  • What you can supply — a feed, an API, data, inventory, an audience — and any docs for it.
  • What you want from us, stated as a thing on the site rather than a category of deal.
  • Whether you can sign, or who can.
  • Your timeline, honestly. Ours is usually faster than you expect and occasionally much slower.

Our numbers

We do not publish traffic, subscriber counts or a rate card on this page. Not to be coy: they move quarterly, and a figure posted here would be out of date in a way that reads as marketing. Ask and we will send current numbers, sourced from analytics rather than rounded up.

Two things worth knowing before you write, because you would find them out anyway: Wildcard is small and independently run, so integration work competes with everything else on the roadmap. And we have not published an accuracy track record yet — every verdict is logged and checked against what the market did later, but that ledger is still filling, and a hit rate published before it means anything is marketing too.
