What would make this wrong
Aaron held the career home-run record from 1974 until Barry Bonds passed him in 2007, so the pairing rests on standing rather than on a record still held. The 1952 Mantle is also a trophy asset that trades on headline-auction dynamics rather than on baseball, and a ratio against it can widen indefinitely without the Aaron being cheap.
